Forgotten places

An early morning bike ride through the Tuscan Landscape around Cafagio a small Italian village. The road up to Campiglia passes an abandoned mansion  house set back from the road, the steep steps leading  up to the entrance are overgrown with weeds and the windows are boarded over, giant trees tower over the top of the building obscuring the façade. Heading downhill brings me to a private road leading off through a tree-lined entrance road, it brings me out on a ruined farmhouse on farm land set with the backdrop of the surrounding hills. In a fields the long horn cows keep a watchful eye on me.
