The Sylvensteinstausee at the top of the Isar Valley on a quiet winters day, the dark flat waters reflecting the snow covered peaks of the surrounding mountains. These photographs were taken in November just after heavy winter rains, winter starting to make itself felt on the upper peaks of the snow sprinkled mountains.
The bridge is a place to stop and climb out of the car, and wander out over the waters of the damm. The waters levels are quiet high after the recent rains covering the walkways along the banks of the damm. The dark blue shades reflect the day, the landscape devoid of its autumn colours as winter bleaches the tones away.
